(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To originally by Weezer
Tribute video to my life for the past 6 months or so HAHA. Life’s been good though, I can’t lie.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots originally by (The?) Flaming Lips
I really, really, really, really like this song…. I only discovered it an hour ago and needed to cover it so badly.
Bitter Heart originally by Zee Avi
Such a simple and beautiful song, isn’t it. Zee Avi gets bonus points for being a Malay girl signed under Jack Johnson’s label. Whuuuut! She deserves it though, girl is talented. Have you heard her other songs?
Be My Baby by the Ronettes
I literally came home, had the song in my head and just decided to DO! Turned out not half bad guys, srs. There’s like no rhyme or reason to do things I do sometimes. I can practice a song for two or three days and still feel not right about recording it, and other times I can literally have been sat in my swivelly chair for about two seconds and decide to fart a song out. Hilarious.
Have you seen the Ronettes? They’re lovely. I think MTV needs to show more songs from the 50’s and 60’s, just sayin’. Back then, youths needed to rock ‘n’ roll and we still need to now.
Bare Necessities from the Jungle Book
Jungle Book, there are so many things I love about it. The main thing that appeals to my senses is the music, I suppose.
Dixieland jazz for one. The voices of Louis Prima as King Louie and Disney favourite Phil Harris as Baloo. You may recognise Phil Harris as the sound of Little John and Thomas O’Malley (Do I really have to say which two movies those characters are from?)
Poker Face by Lady Gaga
A Gaga cover again! The madness! Lay off okay, her songs translate really well to ukulele, pardon.
I don’t know what it is about this song but I think it’s the moment you listen to it, and I mean really listen to it, and you hear the part right at ‘Can’t read my, Can’t read my, no he can’t read my poker face.’
Forget the lyrics, forget the absolute stupidity of the video. I mean, just listen to that. Nice isn’t it.
A note about the video itself: Yes I wear a jurassic park t-shirt around the house. There’s really no way I can justify myself other than saying that I think it is pretty fucking cool.
Just Dance by Lady Gaga
Say what you want about Lady Gaga but that woman is actually fucking smart. I mean, she’s fooling us all.
It’s very clear to me that’s following the David Bowie/Madonna model. (not a very good imitation, but she made it her own and that’s what counts, haha I’m totally channelling Paula Abdul)
Think about it! Provocative imagery, reinvention of oneself and this huuuge focus on the visuals + amazing music. The fact that Lady Gaga managed to collect and refocus all the things that make pop, popular is amazing to me. She’s got the attitude, the talent, skin so thick it’s made of titanium and let’s face it, sex. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’d been studying popular music intently in this underground lair made out of black spiky cones which look uber vogue.
Irks me a little when she says she’s smart though, but maybe that’s all part of her cunning plan to enslave us in a bisexual, dystopian world where everyone has to wear midriffs or something.
