I am thinking of a word
something to say when you are hurt
something that would make you
brush your tears away

I am thinking of a song
to sing to you when Im alone
but girl you know that
words dont work that way

cause they fade and fall away
before I open my mouth and say that

Dictionaries arent correct all the time
spellcheck dosent even get your name right
encyclopedias all make me feel blue
because beside the word love
there isnt a picture of you.

Oh sing along with me and you
even if were out of tune
because the lyrics dont mean
anything anyway

Ill fall into your quiet smile
Ill stare at you for a while
A thousand words for me does
not a picture paint.

Cause paper rots and then decays
so believe me when I say that
